The GPU is based on AMD Radeon HD 7870 XT, and it is targeted at desktop market segment. The card has 925 MHz graphics clock frequency. Furthermore, it has 1536 stream processors, 32 color ROPs, along with 96 texture units. The Radeon HD 7870 2GB GDDR5 XT WITH BOOST embeds 2 GB of GDDR5 memory. Because the memory is clocked at 1.5 GHz, and uses 256 bit bus, the effective memory bandwidth is 192 GB/s. The GPU supports PCI Express 3.0 interface, and requires 2 motherboard slots. Similar to the reference design, this model has the maximum power consumption of 185 Watt.
