Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 2GB GDDR5 Dirt3 Edition is one of a few Sapphire Graphics Processing Units for desktop market segment. Based on AMD Radeon HD 6950, and The GPU is fabricated on 40 nm manufacturing process, and uses TeraScale 3 Unified Processing architecture. The card has 800 MHz graphics clock frequency. Furthermore, it has 1408 stream processors, 88 texture units, and 32 color ROPs. The Radeon HD 6950 2GB GDDR5 Dirt3 Edition incorporates 2 GB of GDDR5 memory. Since the memory runs at 1.25 GHz, and utilizes 256 bit bus, the effective memory bandwidth is 160 GB/s. The GPU supports PCI Express 2.1 interface, and needs 2 slots on the motherboard. This model requires up to 200 Watt of power, which is the same as on the reference design.
