Based on AMD Radeon HD 6850, and built on 40 nm manufacturing process, the GPU boasts TeraScale 2 Unified Processing architecture. The card has 775 MHz graphics clock frequency. It also has 960 stream processors, 48 texture units, and 32 color ROPs. The Radeon HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 has 1 GB of GDDR5 memory. Because the memory is clocked at 1 GHz, and uses 256 bit bus, the effective memory bandwidth is 128 GB/s. The GPU has PCI Express 2.1 interface, and requires 2 slots on the motherboard. This model has the maximum power consumption of 127 Watt. The Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 supports crossfire technology, and can be paired with another card for increased gaming and 3D graphics performance.
