Furthermore, it has 1600 stream processors, 80 texture units, and 32 color ROPs. The Radeon HD 5870 1GB GDDR5 comes with 1 GB of GDDR5 memory. Because the memory operates at 1.2 GHz, and uses 256 bit bus, the effective memory bandwidth is 153.6 GB/s. The GPU has PCI Express 2.1 interface, and needs 2 slots on the motherboard.
