The GPU, built on 90 nm manufacturing process, features Ultra-Threaded Shader Engine architecture. The card has 500 MHz graphics clock frequency. It also has 12 pixel shaders, 4 texture units, along with 4 color ROPs. The Radeon X1650 256MB DDR2 has 256 MB of DDR2 memory. Since the memory operates at 400 MHz, and uses 128 bit interface, the effective memory bandwidth is 12.8 GB/s. The GPU supports PCI Express 1.0 interface, and requires a single motherboard slot.
