Introduced in March 2006, ATI Radeon X1800 GTO2 desktop Graphics Processing Unit utilizes Ultra-Threaded Shader Engine architecture, and is built on 90 nm technology. The cards graphics frequency is 500 MHz. Furthermore, it has 12 pixel shaders, 12 texture units, along with 8 color ROPs. The Radeon X1800 GTO2 comes with 512 MB of GDDR3 memory. Because the memory is clocked at 500 MHz, and uses 256 bit bus, the effective memory bandwidth is 32 GB/s. The GPU supports PCI Express 1.0 interface, and needs a single slot on the motherboard.
